Championship battle of two soccer giants ends Copa America

The America Cup soccer tournament was played in different Peruvian cities, and to the average tourist it was a gratifying surprise to realize that Peru has so many hidden beautiful places to be discovered. 
Chiclayo, Arequipa, Piura, Trujillo, and Tacna all showed beautiful stadiums, high ranked hotels, restaurants and friendly people . Well-known Cusco was the host for the third-place game. Cusco'a soccer stadium increased it capacity from 35,000 to 45,000 and seemed impeccable. Uruguay and Colombia battled for third place in Cusco on Saturday, July 24, and Uruguay beat Colombia 2-1.

The championship game of the 2004 America Cup  between Argentina and Brazil was played in Lima on Sunday, July 25. Peruvian singer Gian Marco sang at the opening ceremony of the event. Thousand of Peruvian dancer showed to the world all the different typical Peruvian dances from Peru's different regions.  

Brazil and Argentina had a soccer battle for the championship title. The game showed ingenious attacks and patriotic defenses. The old-time soccer rivals, the best in the world, kept fans on the edge.  The amazing soccer battle ended 2-2, and the champion was defined by penalties where Brazil beat Argentina. The winner dance of joy and the defeated cry for being so close to be champion.

The organization of the whole tournament was well done and had many positive and grateful complements. Without doubt, the America cup played in Peru showed the best quality of soccer worlwide.
